HIS HOLINESS THE DALAI LAMA (at the meeting at Leela Kempinski, please follow the light dots that have appeared naturally, in the not very clear photograph as flashes were not allowed)

Today one of my fondest wishes came true...again it was confirmed (for me) that when you make a wish and release it to the Universe...the wish may take a while to be fulfilled but it manifests beyond your wildest imagination...I love being in the aura of Saints and Sages...Click:
http://dalsabzi.com/Books/In_touch_with_masters/preface_index.htm Today I was invited at the Leela Kempinski Hotel to a room which held about 150 invitees to meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
The host body was 'The Dharma Rain for Buddhist Studies'

His Holiness the Dalai Lama said:
When Buddha was asked whether there is an Aatman,a beginning or an end (to Creation)... Lord Buddha diplomatically remained silent...The Lama smiled and continued "Maybe we should remain silent"

During the time came for Interaction, I asked His Holiness:
"Maybe God is beyond understanding and putting into words and hence Lord Buddha remained silent?"
His Holiness laughed and said: "Maybe" "People say I am(Dalai Lama)a great Christian/Hindu... and I smile"

Buddhists scholars respect all traditions and beliefs...

To a question of how His Holiness views the Caste System, he said: "I believe that all (humans) are created equal...
To a question, "Do you fight death in the case of a terminal illness, or accept and surrender?"
He replied: "One should try and reduce pain..."

The rest of the discourse was intense...He urged that people should not only bow to Scriptures but study them...

His Holiness 'ki mere oopar drishti padi' ie he looked at me, while answering my query and I am feeling blessed!
The young to be 10 year old Dalai Lama,Charak Rinpoche was also there...he is believed to be a divine incarnation ...and I saw him...
My cup runneth over...

I think that it was Osho who said: "There is no God only Godliness"...

Maybe 'God' is not in everything, God is everything.
Maybe God is a verb...Maybe God is 'Godding'...
Maybe God is not the Creator, God is in every atom of His Creation...Like Nataraja (Shiva) and His dance is one...The dancer and the dance cannot be separated...

You do not have to BELIEVE that you HAVE a body...you KNOW you have a body...
Maybe similarly you do not believe in God, you know there is God and maybe God is you and in everything/everyone else...

A Hindu friend who has lost a loved one, feels that there seems to be more 'comfort' in believing that our loved ones are in Heaven in the company of angels...rather than to believe that they have re-incarnated...She has a point...
I came accross this article in the newspaper...I think that the writer is the same through who I had a 'regression' (Read about it in my blog of Jan 23rd)
Have reproduced an excerpt here:

Excerpt from FREE YOURSELF by Michael Newton
...The soul has such majesty that it is beyond description. I tend to think of souls as intelligent light forms of energy. Right after death, souls suddenly feel different because they are no longer encumbered by a temporary host body with a brain and a central nervous system. Some take longer to adjust than others.
The energy of the soul is able to divide into identical parts, similar to a hologram. It may live parallel lives in other bodies although this is much less common than we read about. However because of the dual capability of all souls, part of our light energy always remains behind in the spirit world. Thus it is possible to see your mother upon returning from a life even though she may have died thirty Earth years before and reincarnated again...

Ms Kathryn Coughlin (Speaker), Ms Kristina Dunne, Culural Affairs Officer and myself

Women's Movement for Peace & Prosperity and The American Center in Mumbai
jointly organised a talk on "Women & Islam" by Ms.Kathryn Coughlin  President, Global Research and Analysis, Washington, D.C. and Director, Middle East and North Africa Programs of the American Islamic Congress, Inc.

on  Tuesday, January 23, 2007,at the 2nd Floor Conference Hall, The Times of India Bldg.

Kathryn states:
The issue is not whether Muslims should study in a Madrasa or not...education should be imparted to students without distortion...organizations operate through students or individuals by presenting them selective and often distorted versions of the Quran...An overwhelming majority of Muslims are not in favor of violence...

kathryn has studied Muslim texts in the Original Arabic and I looked fascinated as I saw her scribbling a note in the Urdu Arabic script :)

I watched a great movie called 'The Secret' on dvd with friends...
Some of the points:
Thoughts become things...we are so full of negative thoughts that mostly negative things manifest...The law of attraction is obedient...so replace a negative thought...with a positive one...Don't focus on things you do not want...Celebrate feelings...Focus on the glass half-full rather than half-empty...Think how you would feel when your wish comes true...Visualise...dwell upon the end result...energy flows where attention goes...Good luck!
Had a past life regression. The guide 'sent' us to one of our pleasant experiences.
I went back to an in between life where I learned to meditate alone in a room...that was it. My name was Zeena...

A few days ago asked a Spiritual Master a heavy spiritual question:
What is the difference between 'vairaagya' (Kind of detachment) and depression.
The answer: When you have wants and they are not fulfilled ...you could be depressed...when there are no wants and you just 'flow' that could be 'Vairaagya'

Am reading 'The kite runner' by Khaled Hosseini
Cannot put it down...hmmm...the truth is... that I read it at any free time that I have...
Sharing some lines that made me think...

"...Now no matter what the mullah teaches , there is only one sin, only one. And that is theft. Every other sin is a variation of theft...When you kill a man you steal a life, you steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness..."

Am back home from a wonderful trip!

The Legend of the Candy Cane
I got this information through the Internet...do not know its source but would like to give credit where it is due...Found the legend fascinating! sharing it with you...

A humble man wished to use candy art to make a Xmas gift for Christ that came straight from the heart. First he shaped the candy in a shepherds staff, a J or I to stand for the name of Jesus. He used white stripes to symbolize Jesus' virgin birth, and his sinlessness and purity during his time on Earth. Finally, he colored the candy with stripes made out of red, to represent the scourging and the blood that Jesus shed...

A NEW YEAR DAWNS

Let The Devil Take His Bags..!
From the Internet:

DON'T LET THE DEVIL LEAVE HIS BAGS..!
YOU PUT THE DEVIL OUT, BUT YOU LET HIM LEAVE HIS BAGS !

You got out of a bad relationship because it was bad,
but you are still resentful, and angry
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags).

You got out of financial debt, but you still can't control the desire to spend on frivolous things
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags).

You got out of a bad habit or addiction, but you still long to try it just one more time
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags).

You said, I forgive you, but you can't seem to forget and have peace with that person
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags).

You told your unequally yoked boyfriend/girlfriend that it was over, but you still
continue to call
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags)

You got out of that horribly oppressive job, but you're still trying to sabotage the company after you've left
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags).

You cut off the affair with that married man/woman, but you still lust after him/her
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags).

You broke off your relationship with that hurtful, abusive person, but you are suspicious and distrusting of every new person you meet
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags).

You decided to let go of the past hurts from growing up in an unstable family environment, yet you believe you are unworthy of love from others and you refuse to
get attached to anyone
(You Let The Devil Leave His Bags).

When you put the Devil out, Please make sure he takes his bags.
Happiness keeps you sweet, Trials keep you strong, Sorrows keep you human,
Failures keeps you humble, Success keeps you glowing, but only God Keeps you going!

Today, Let the Devil take his bags with him!!!!!
Learn Something New... & Teach Something, too!
Don't Forget To Count Your Blessings!
Mounteagle

Spent the 30th of December at Mounteagle a beautiful scenic spot near Nashville...the view was spectacular...and so was spending quality time with my daughter and family...There is a University there which reminds us of England and some of the houses look like the ones we have seen in Stratford on Avon, the Birth place of Shakespeare.
